New Year's Eve was once again celebrated with our usual crowd of Watanabes, Wrights, (Wheelis absent this year :( and the Zollingers. We all converged on the Wright's home and this year we came with pots of chili, cornbread, rolls, desserts and drinks....yum! Cindy even made monkey bread! The new game for us this year was Pit. It is a loud and chaotic time of fun! I listened from afar, then watched closer up, then teamed up with Cathy for a "how to play" and then I was in the game. I don't think I can play this game well....so much going on at once. It's fun to watch others yelling and scrambling for the cards though! We played games until close to midnight then we all filled the two balconies to watch the fireworks madness. No real plan, everyone and anyone in Tirana sets them off without thought for where they are aimed. It is the most crazy fireworks event I have ever seen. When it all dies down ...45minutes later...we venture out. We were blessed with a ride home and thankful to not have to walk through the left over fireworks going off. I can't believe that we are headed into 2010. That seems like a number from a futuristic movie!
Well, Happy New Year everyone! God's blessings on you and your family.
