Changing our organization/Keeping our ministry

I write this more for myself to process the changes that are happening for us these days. We are in the process of transferring to different sending agency. Sounds simple when you read that sentence. It isn't. If we were not certain that we are following God's leading in this, it would be even more difficult than it is.

We know that God has us serving in Albania, working among the Albanians and Roma, living in our current neighborhood, and using the gifts and abilities that He has given us to bring glory to Himself.
If you know me at all, you know that I do not crave change. God seems to love that and keeps growing me in that area. Change. Just the word makes me cringe.

With this new transition we have lots of change. We are moving from the known: our previous organization, team life and expectations, as well as team women who know how to care for one another and celebrates holidays :). We are moving into the unknown of: new organization and how it works, a deeper widening of our friendship circles outside of our previous team, not knowing how those old friendships will continue, and leaning ever more closely on our God and my sweet hubby.
(Lord willing, we hope to celebrate winter holidays in the US with family for the first time in 9 YEARS. Yep, that's a long time.)

So when you get the email or hear about our "change is coming" news, please take a minute to pray for us in this process. Someone said it well this week, "You go from a family and known to neither.  It is a process of grieving too.  Allow yourselves time for that emotional adjustment." Another encourager shared, "May it (the transition) not only be smooth but also be a catalyst for more influence in ministry!"

Our God is enough. He never leaves us. Even in change. The sun sets and He makes it rise again the next morning. God is our strength.

One thing that we have found to be unique about Albania, is that there is a large missionary community here. A missionary can come to Albania without being on an existing team and still fit right in to the community and feel like they are a part of a team. This has been the case for us. And, I think you guys will find the same to be true once you transition out of your exiting team. It will feel a bit more natural and in many ways... exhilirating. Praying for you guys during this challenging time.

Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you guys. I don't know the reasons behind your decision, but I am confident that it was not taken lightly, and that there was much prayer and thought that went into the decision. I am praying for the transition and that you will see God not only continue to bless your ministry to the Roma, but that it will grow and flourish even more -- for His glory. Love you guys and am praying for you.

Praying for the transition to be a smooth one, and for the new sending agency to be just the right fit for you guys. May God grant that all of your current support will transition smoothly as well and that new support will be added to your ministry! We love you guys!
